​It is the mission of the Professional Learning Department to foster a learning environment within Rockdale County Public Schools that encourages employees to develop personally and professionally, gain lifelong learning skills, and increase their ability to adjust to an ever-changing environment. Our purpose is to advance the strategic vision, mission, goals, and initiatives of the district; to improve employee performance; and to help all employees develop the knowledge, leadership skills, and character that are needed for effectiveness.

To accomplish this mission, Professional Learning provides numerous training opportunities to certified, licensed, and classified personnel which are designed to ultimately enhance student achievement.
