 Home Schooling

 

​In accordance with Georgia law, (Georgia Code 20-2-690.1) every parent or guardian residing within this state having control or charge of any child or children during the ages of mandatory attendance (between their 6th & 16th birthdays) shall enroll and send such child or children to a public school, a private school, or a home study program that meets the state requirements.

Within 30 days after a home schooling program is established, and by September 1 annually thereafter, the parent or guardian must file a Declaration of Intent with the local school system. Upon receipt of this Declaration, the local school system will make the proper forms available.
